The Heart — Made For Cause Inc.
Made For Cause Inc. is the Heart of the Hive — the part of the ecosystem focused on turning creativity, community, and generosity into real, measurable support for causes.
While the Builder creates systems and the Maker provides access and execution, the Heart exists to ensure those systems are used to help real people and organizations. Made For Cause Inc. was created to address a common gap in charitable work: the lack of practical infrastructure that allows causes to turn support into outcomes.
The Heart does not operate like a traditional nonprofit that only raises funds. It builds systems that solve real problems by connecting causes with creative talent, production resources, and purpose-driven marketplaces.

How the Heart Fits the Hive
Within the Hive, Made For Cause Inc. operates on shared systems managed by HIVSO and utilizes production space, services, and resources provided by Craft Press Company.
Charitable products are produced using shared studio space and equipment through a combination of in-house production, Press Pals volunteers, and vetted makers across the ecosystem who support creative and production needs when appropriate. This structure allows charitable programs to operate efficiently without duplicating infrastructure, while maintaining clear governance, transparency, and proper separation between nonprofit and for-profit activities.

Marketplace
A marketplace with purpose - shop, give, make a difference.
CauseShops.com is the first commerce-powered fundraising platform that allows supporters to contribute value — not just dollars. Supporters can add products, services, auction items, event tickets, rentals, gift cards, and digital goods directly to a Cause’s storefront. When an item sells, 100% of the proceeds go to that Cause, with fulfillment handled by the supporter or donor instead of the nonprofit.
This model opens the door for anyone to give, even if they don’t have extra funds. Supporters can meaningfully contribute by offering unused items, handmade goods, local services, skills, or creative work — turning everyday resources into real support for the Causes they care about.
By removing operational burdens from nonprofits and expanding non-monetary ways for communities to participate, CauseShops creates a flexible, community-powered way for Causes to raise more with less effort.

MakeForCause- Creative Support for Causes
MakeForCause.org is the creative support platform behind CauseShops, helping nonprofit organizations access the creative services and production support they need—especially when funding is limited.
Through our vetted Makr Network of Media Makrs and Merch Makrs, causes can create merchandise for staff and volunteers, develop products to sell in their CauseShops, and receive creative support that strengthens their mission. At the same time, MakeForCause is built to support makers by valuing creative work, encouraging skill-based giving, and providing fair compensation opportunities when funding is available.
Fulfilling "Maker Needs" for causes in 4 ways

- Local small business makes order: In some cases Made for Cause will find a small business in the same community as cause to fund them to fulfill the need supporting the cause and a local small business in their community.
Production
Production Support for Maker Needs
Made For Cause provides in-house production support for press-related Maker Needs submitted through MakeForCause. Using the shared space, equipment, and resources at Craft Press Studio—along with our Press Pals volunteer program—we produce apparel and printed goods that support nonprofit organizations and community causes.
