Through purpose-driven innovation, collaborative infrastructure, and a commitment to strengthening communities, HIVSO empowers every part of the ecosystem — from digital marketplaces and maker studios to nonprofit programs and creative ventures. History
April Thayer — Founder & CEO
April Thayer founded HIVSO to create an ecosystem where creators, crafters, and causes can thrive together. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate administration, operations, brand development, and digital systems, April brings a rare blend of technical expertise and creative insight to the companies she leads.
Certified in Computer Programming at age 16, she has since branded and assisted in launching of over 60 brands, specializing in WordPress, WooCommerce, marketplace design, and user-friendly digital infrastructure.
April is also a long-time crafter and freelance merch creator, giving her real-world perspective on the challenges facing makers today — from high platform fees to limited access to equipment and safe workspace.
Her 4.5 years in nonprofit crisis stabilization deepened her mission to build tools and systems that support families and organizations doing meaningful work.
Today, April leads HIVSO — A Hive of Solutions with Purpose — which includes Craft Press Company, Tri-Delta Crafters, Made For Cause Inc., and the upcoming Vendso platform. Her vision is simple: empower creators, elevate causes, and create sustainable solutions that strengthen communities.
Her experience and passion come together in building systems that serve both creators and causes.
